THE year is 2021, and out of nowhere, it seems, darkness has come to the wizarding world. After over twenty years of quiet tranquility, the darkness of the world has awakened and is spreading further past the boundaries of magic than ever before.
Bridges crashing to the ground. Fog once more surrounding the continent. Muggles disappearing, dying with no explanation of death than 'gas leaks.' The muggles have no idea what is causing the terroristic attacks on seemingly random victims, but the wizards know better.
It is the death eaters, and they're back bigger than ever. No one understands how the evil organization could have grown to such a large sizer and remained quiet for so long, but their presence has become overwhelmingly mysterious. The difference between their presence now and their support of Lord Voldemort years ago is that they remain secret, taking caution to keep their masks on, acting as ordinary as ever, and sweeping the nation with evil attacks so quickly and cunningly that they are near impossible to catch.
The Ministry of Magic is befuddled. How could this have happened? How long have they been planning their uprising? How do they stop a group of over seventy Death Eaters that have remarkably remained anonymous, even now? The biggest question of all: WHO IS THEIR LEADER? It is impossible that such a large group could be managed without a true leader, but how are they supposed to know who the top death eater is when they hardly know who the most lowly ones are? What they do know is that the attacks are increasing, and fast, and they need to find a way to stop it.
Hogwarts is no longer safe. On the first day of the new term, September 1, 2021, students got their first glimpse of the castle with a new addition: the dark mark glittering above the highest tower. The horrifying sight caused uproar, in students, parents and faculty. The castle was searched by the authorities, yet no body was found--so why was the mark planted, and what force inside the school set it in the sky?
The mystery turns from the adults to the students, who now live in fear for their families, friends, and themselves. Who knows who can be trusted when the Death Eaters have been secretive so long, and remain anonymous? The truth must be revealed, but will the wizarding world be able to handle it? After all...
