Ethan while outgoing, tends to lean towards the quiet pensive side. While one can't say that he thinks before he acts, he does tend to be a better listener or shoulder to cry on. His temper, well you could say that it has a short fuse. Easy to ignite and hard to put down. But what is unexpected with a temper like that is the fact that he's not one to hold a grudge. He lets it all out and then after you submissively ((XxD)) agree that he's right he forgets about it.
While argumentative he doesn't enjoy fighting...just disagreeing with people. In his mind there is a distinct difference between the two. His face has been, in the past, compared to stone, it doesn’t show much emotion. But his eyes are expressive, letting all see just how he feels at the moment. Like when he's angry they seem to have a reddish glint to it and squint a little at the corners. His voice changes with mood too, not like in BIG differences, but subtly.
Ethan has few pet peeves but there is one thing that absolutely makes him twitch; lying. For some reason he always seems to be able to tell when they're lying to him. Another thing he despises is annoying people. You know the kind that simper and are always like right there when you REALLY don't want them to be? He despises those who do it to him, or even others. When people annoy him he starts to get this little twitch in the corner of his right eye. The people who know him well know to stop then, the others soon regret they didn't, and learn.
Most would assume him arrogant or conceited if they didn't know him well but really he isn't one to place himself above others. As mentioned earlier he really doesn't give a damn on what people think.
{WE EAT AND DRINK WHILE TOMORROW THEY DIE}
There was something to be said about the way darkness seemed to enshroud almost every aspect of the Hogwarts grounds after curfew fell upon it. What few lights that hadn’t already been extinguished were dulled by the drawn curtains, thick fabric pulled tight to hide whatever deeds were being done behind them. And knowing the students of this particular school, the deeds were indeed prudent to be hidden. The very air outside seemed to whisper remnants of a darker coming, the wind whispering it’s lullaby into the craggy stone surfaces of the castle; the moon obscured by the dark cloud coverage that threatened to spill over tears onto the shadowed surface of the grounds. What few strands of light that managed to break through the dark barricade filtered dimly upon the dark grass, casting eerie shadows unto the mind’s eye; each shape taking the form of some various dark creature whispered into a child’s ear before bedtime by a spiteful sibling. But nothing compared to the dark song the wind called out as it swam through the branches of the trees, along the surface of the lake, and up the stones of the castle. Each lap of water was succeeded by an almost keening kind of whisper from the leaves that sat upon the limbs. It was as if the gods above were using the night for their orchestra, each song seemingly sadder than the one previously played. It was not a night many students would revel in being out in, even with the permission of the Headmaster or some other form of administration. The wind chilled the bones, each second growing colder as it picked up, the gentle mist from the lake only causing it to provide more of a chill.
So why a dark figure was out walking the edge of the lake, seemingly on its way back from the forbidden forest was debatable. It made its way slowly, body moving as if in harmony with the dark night, gracefully picking its way among the strewn leaves upon which the ground floor was made up of. Clad in a pair of snug fitting skinny jeans she seemed unaffected by the weather around her, hair swaying around her face as the wind picked it up, caressing it around her form. Her face was turned away from the castle, icy blue eyes reflecting the lake upon which she stared so intently, her brows drawn together in a thoughtful type of expression. Her hands were buried deep within the pocket of her black hoodie, her body angled towards the lake rather than the direction in which she was walking. But then, Kariana Travers was never really known for doing things normally. Or by the rules for that matter. So it was really no surprise that she was out at one in the morning, on her way back from one of her familiar escapades into the forest. Not that anyone knew what she did there, though a few had seen her on her way back. If anyone knew the arts she practiced out there she was as good as claimed a Death Eater. Not that she was… She really was rather neutral when it came into the affects of the wizarding politics. It’s not as if any had tried to sway her one way or another anyways. A smile tilted up the corners of her lips at the thought. No, no one really had. Though they might if they could see her out there.
But then, it was a rather good thing they couldn’t. An oak tree rose beside her seemingly out of nowhere from her vision, obscuring her view of the castle, and hopefully its view of her in retrospect. She paused under its branches, her eyes roaming the area surrounding her. Being careless was just about the most ignorant thing one could do at this point, and she was far from ignorant. The limbs hung slightly lower than most, almost drooping towards the ground in greeting, its leaves still fully covering the branches, obscuring all but the furthest side of the castle from her view. With a self-satisfied nod she let her posture relax back against the trunk, her form sinking slowly until she rested upon the ground, hands slipping out of their safety to further ease her way. Bringing her knees up slowly she brought her arms to encircle them, her chin resting upon the pyramid she had created. It had been a long day, though with everything so close as it was it was no surprise. The fact that she’d had such limited contact with other humans didn’t help either. It had to be something to do with the fact that they hadn’t had classes today. It’d been a rather chilly day throughout, so she didn’t see the harm of taking her time to studying, it wasn’t as if she had any pressing plans. But that of course led to her stuck in the library all day. And this on the day of one of her planned excursions. She’d waited till just after curfew to sneak her way out unto the darkness and into the Forbidden Forest. And that’s where she’d been till now.
She felt a small amount of amusement at the thought. She truly had been a hermit today, not that she much cared for the company of many of her peers as it were. They were beneath her as it was. But it was still a rather empty day. She’d at least mastered a few new things that night out under the cover of the trees. Not that they were the type of things the school wanted her to master. But it wasn’t as if she cared. She had fun doing it… and it was… natural. What her sister would say if she heard something like that she had no idea of, Fawne was ‘Ministry approved’. That most likely being due to her job at the ministry. Still. She felt an exasperated breath leave her lips, coming up from the confines of her vocal chords, her lips holding onto the last amount of restraint she had mastered. If it weren’t so late she knew she could use with a stiff drink, not that any of the taverns would still be open. The fact that her stash was out in her dorm room was a small problem too. Her lips twitched silently as she looked out at the lake. Yes, it could indeed form to be a rather large problem if she didn’t watch it.
